1. Zero and First Conditional
Zero: If + present simple, present simple → general truths. If you heat ice, it melts.
First: If + present simple, will + infinitive → real future possibility. If it rains, we will stay home.
2. Second Conditional
If + past simple, would + infinitive → unreal or improbable present/future.
